Brewery: Lion Brewery
Brewery Location: Sri Lanka
Alcohol: 8.8%
This was yet another beer my coworkers gave me as a parting gift from a long time back. This is finally the last of the ones that I wrote anything about.
I kind of goofed and drank all the beer before remembering to take a picture, so a bottle photo is all I have, unfortunately. 😀
Sight: There was very little head and barely any carbonation. What little head there was on top was very thin and of a light brown color. The liquid itself was a very dark brown, almost bordering black. There was no seeing through this one.
Smell: A nice maltiness with a subtle chocolatiness as well.
Taste: A solid porter. Strong, thick, and chocolatey with a mild coffee undertone as well. It went down pretty smooth, considering how strong it was.

Overall
I really liked this one. I don’t know why, but I just never would have expected a porter like this from Sri Lanka (most good porters I’ve had are from the UK), but it’s really nice. It’s strong but goes down smoothly, and I would definitely drink another one.
