New Logo

There isn’t too much to say with this post, other than the fact that I have a new logo. While I haven’t published much yet (I need to make sure I still have stuff for the future), I am going to take this blog seriously, and I have enlisted the help of an friend of mine, who is studying to be an artist, to make a logo for my blog. I am very pleased with the result:

I like the simplicity, but how it also shows what the blog is going to be all about. His name is Sascha Hellberg, and if you would like to contact him about doing any sort of work for you (he does amazing physical paintings and drawings, but he is also very good at digital paintings and other stuff, like the logo you see here). You can contact him by emailing him at sascha-hellberg@frereigeist.ws.

Since I need to use it somewhere, I have incorporated it into the banner for this blog, which can be seen at the top of the blog, and right below:

The 4 pictures in this banner are all places I have been to, and places I will blog about when I get there. From left to right, the Bishop Castle in Colorado, USA, the Grand Canyon in Nevada, USA, Jotunheimen National Park in Norway, and the Ryugyong Hotel in Pyongyang, North Korea. In due time, I will discuss these, and of course beers.

I also added a new background, which you should be able to see behind this text. I think the general design could use some work still, but this theme is a little limiting, so we will see how I change it in the future.
