Samuel Smith’s Nut Brown Ale Review

Brewery: Samuel Smith
Brewery Location: Tadcaster, England
Alcohol: 5%

This was just another beer I got from my colleagues when I quit work, but it was one of my more favorites from the bunch.

Sight: A bit of foam that went away relatively quickly, leaving a thin film behind. A dark, golden-brown color that was ever so slightly translucent.

Smell: I wasn’t quite detecting any nuttiness, but there was definitely a burnt maltiness quality.

Taste: Very mild bitterness. I could detect some hints of nuts, but it wasn’t too strong. There was a mild sweetness to it as well.

Overall

While nothing really jumped out at me as extraordinary, it all came together in a very pleasant and drinkable ale that I would gladly drink again in just about any situation.
