Warka Strong Review

Brewery: Warka
Country of origin: Warka, Poland
Alcohol: 6.5%

This was just a beer that I picked up in a Polish market here in Germany. It is a stronger Pils, which I guess is the reason that it has a higher than average alcohol content.

Sight: It had a slightly darker blonde color to it, almost amber-like (unlike the last “amber beer” I had). Fairly transparent and clear, it was like a pils, albeit a little darker.
A little bit of head which didn’t build up too much, and it went away quickly.

Smell: It smelt like a pils to me – it had the typical pilsner hops smell to it. Nothing bad, nothing great, nothing out of the ordinary.

Taste: It tasted good. It is what I would expect of a pils, and a stronger one at that. It went down well, and it had a pleasant and mild bitterness in the back of the tongue. Nothing spectacular, but a good and strong pils nonetheless.

Overall

It was a pils, and a stronger one as it claimed to be. There honestly isn’t too much to say about it, I find. It tasted alright, was a bit stronger, and itched that itch that only a stronger, yet lighter beer could deliver.
