Brewery: Thwaites
Brewery Location: Mellor Brook, England
Alcohol: 5.5%
This IPA was one of the beers that I got while my friend and I hung out in a pub in Glasgow, hiding from the rain. I thought it funny that it was a British beer celebrating the USA.
Sight: A dark amber color. There was barely any head, and I even tried to agitate it a bit, but it just wasn’t having it. It was fairly opaque; clear enough to let some light through, but not enough to see through.
Smell: A very strong hoppy and flowery aroma asailed the nostrils. It was good, if not extremely overpowering.
Taste: A really solid, full.bodied taste. The hops really carried the bitterness in the best of ways, and it packed quite a punch on the back of the tongue. A really enjoyable IPA. It must have been that extra freedom…

Overall
A really good American-style IPA from the UK that sent my tongue on quite the adventure! I would gladly drink this again if I ever see it.
